Temperatures are forecast to vary between 10°C and 15°C, with Sofia reaching around 11°C.
In Bulgaria’s mountainous regions, the forecast predicts cloudy and windy conditions, accompanied by rain and snowfall at elevations above 1,700 meters. Notable precipitation is expected in the central Balkan Mountains, the Rhodope Mountains, and areas like Strandzha and Sakar. Temperatures in these regions will likely be around 6°C at 1,200 meters and approximately 1°C at 2,000 meters.
The Black Sea coast is also set to experience adverse weather, with forecasts of cloudy skies, rain, and strong winds. Afternoon hours may see locally heavy precipitation, and maximum temperatures along the coast are expected to range from 15°C to 17°C, while the sea temperature remains between 20°C and 21°C. In addition to rain, a yellow-level warning for strong winds and high waves has been issued for coastal areas.
Residents and travelers in affected areas are advised to stay updated on weather developments and take necessary precautions to ensure safety amid these challenging conditions. Sofia City, Pernik, Kyustendil, and Blagoevgrad remain the only districts without any weather alerts at this time.
