In a recent visit to the Rasina District, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić unveiled plans for substantial infrastructure and development efforts within the Brus municipality. Highlighting the government’s commitment to improving local infrastructure, Vučić announced a significant investment of around €6 million earmarked for the reconstruction of roads. This initiative is set to pave approximately 15 kilometres of roads, with completion anticipated by the end of October. The overarching goal of this program is to enhance road accessibility for nearly every village within the municipality.
Further emphasizing developmental strides, Vučić outlined plans for the Vignjište water-supply project, valued at €2 million. Work on this project is slated to commence by the end of the year, marking a pivotal step in improving essential services for the local population. Additionally, the president mentioned ongoing discussions with a potential investor regarding the establishment of a new factory, which could generate approximately 200 new jobs, further bolstering the local economy.
During his tour, Vučić visited an organic fruit-processing company, where he discussed potential government support available for businesses looking to purchase machinery. This support includes non-refundable financial aid of about €42,000, along with Development Fund loans offered at fixed interest rates ranging from 2 to 2.5 percent. Such incentives are designed to stimulate business growth and enhance economic opportunities in the region.
In a forward-looking statement, Vučić announced his forthcoming attendance at the inauguration of a new robot factory in Šabac, scheduled for August 29. This event underscores Serbia’s ongoing efforts to advance its technological and industrial capabilities, further solidifying the nation’s position in the global market.
