Despite Spain’s efforts to claw back into the game, narrowing the gap to three points, Serbia’s defense held strong. A pivotal three-pointer by Šuput and timely defensive plays ensured their path to victory.
Key players made significant contributions to Serbia’s win. Andrej Lučić emerged as the leading scorer with 20 points, while Mitar Bošnjaković added 17 points to the tally. Nikola Džepina also stood out with a well-rounded performance, contributing 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, and five blocks.
